In the midst of ongoing court hearings, Lindsay Lohan is focused on getting her life back on track. And while dancing might be the furthest thing from the socialite’s mind, it could be just what the doctor ordered.

According to former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Aiden Turner, Lindsay is an excellent choice for the show. The “All My Children” star recently told Life & Style magazine: “It’s probably the best thing for Lindsay right now.”

According to an insider for the show, they’d love to have her. The source stated: “Lindsay is the perfect candidate. Who wouldn’t want to see Lindsay do it?”

But would Lindsay really be a good choice for the grueling dancing competition? The Hollywood socialite has struggled with attendance on many movie sets. She was even recently fired from her role in “The Other Side” prior to filming.

As Lindsay’s drug and alcohol problems continue to escalate, friends and family have urged her to return to rehab. And “Dancing with the Stars” has proven to be a positive influence on stars recovering from addiction. “Jackass” star Steve-O credited his continued sobriety to the show last year.

Michael Lohan says he can’t even look at his famous daughter Lindsay.

Lohan appeared on Friday’s “Maury Povich Show” in a desperate attempt to reach out to his famous and troubled daughter, reports UsMagazine.com.

“There’s nothing left of her. I was out in L.A. with her about three weeks ago when she got robbed,” he said. “She called me up at 3:30 a.m. and said, ‘Daddy, come out here.’ I flew out and couldn’t even look at her. I had to go outside and cry. When I hugged her, it’s just a hollow, hollow person.”

Lohan was visibily upset during the appearance.

“Lindsay, I love you with all my heart and … I am not going to bury you,” he said. “You’re going to bury me before this is over. I will do anything and everything I have to to save your life…You’re not in the right state of mind.”

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Lindsay got an extra year’s probation for showing up to a Beverly Hills court Friday an hour and a half late.

After being arrested for driving under the influence in 2007, the actress made a plea bargain that included 3 years probation, treatment, and community service.

But according to LiLo, everything is fine.

“Everything is good. I am in a really good place. I’ve been working a lot,” she told UsMagazine.com Thursday. “I literally slept the entire day yesterday. I woke up, and it was like 10 o’clock at night. I was like, ‘I have stuff to do!’”

Dark forces are keeping Lindsay Lohan from being with her true love. But where there’s a broken heart, there’s a Twitter account just begging for an outburst.

“I’m in love with her, as she is with me,” writes poor LiLo of Samantha Ronson. But it’s that darn Ronson clan who is keeping these star-crossed lovers apart. “Her family will cut her off if she contacts me…they hate her brilliance&resent her happiness.”

We’re gonna go out on a limb here and suggest that Ma and Pa Ronson might be a lot more sympathetic, Linds, if you weren’t giving the world constant updates on the state of your relationship with Sam and her fam. Just a thought.
