Lindsay Lohan has been staying out of trouble lately, and has even been praised by Judge Stephanie Sautner at probation hearings. Dare we say she’s turning it around?

Incredibly, it looks like she is. The only allegations she faces these days (save for that tax mishap) are the typical celeb fare – frivolous lawsuits from crazy people.

According to court documents, Thomas A. Green is suing Lohan for $300,000 for “unfair business practices” and allegedly defrauding him in some online business deal.

Green claims he is a former U.S. Marine and says he recently spent time in a homeless shelter due to a “depreciated stage of delusion and hallucinations.”

Green believes he began corresponding with Lohan on Facebook on July 18, 2010, and makes references to both public Facebook and Twitter messages that the actress had posted in an effort raise awareness and funds for the disaster in the Gulf Coast.

Green seems to claim was duped by Lohan and when he pressed her about her true intentions, he uncovered a conspiracy about the killing of Osama bin Laden.

He goes on and on and on, but we’re just gonna stop right there, because this is going to be thrown out in about two seconds, and we have other things to talk about.

Lindsay Lohan is competing with Megan Fox to play Elizabeth Taylor in a movie of the star’s life.

Lohan, whose latest court appearance was scheduled for 10:00am local time Tuesday, was first linked to the Lifetime cable channel biopic “Liz and Dick” last week, but now it seems she has competition.

“I’ve been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox,” Larry Thompson, the movie’s executive producer, told E! News. “It’s a very serious selection. It’s like casting for Hollywood royalty.”

However, TMZ sources claimed that Taylor lookalike Fox was not the frontrunner for the role and that Lohan is in the final stages of negotiating a deal to star as the legendary actress.

Her newfound “maturity” was reportedly landing the 25-year-old “Mean Girls” star the most movie offers she has had in years — and she could sign a contract for “Liz and Dick” as early as next week.

Lohan, who is currently completing a community-service sentence as part of her probation for a necklace theft conviction in May and a 2007 DUI case, could finish her sentence early to shoot the flick in Canada.

She will appear before Judge Stephanie Sautner on Tuesday to give her second probation progress report.

The actress has reportedly completed the required number of shifts working at the Los Angeles County Morgue and undertaken four psychotherapy sessions.

She has another hearing scheduled for Feb.22nd, and her final hearing is March 29.

Should she fail to complete the required number of days at the morgue or in therapy, she could be given a 270-day jail term.

LINDSAY Lohan is in talks to play Dame Elizabeth Taylor in a new film.

The 25-year-old actress has reportedly opened discussions with Lifetime to take on the role of the late screen legend in TV movie Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story, which will focus on Taylor’s tempestuous romance with actor Richard Burton, according to Deadline.

The project is set to be produced by Larry Thompson and is being written by Christopher Monger.

Although Taylor was married to seven different men during her lifetime, she considered Burton to be the love of her life and she tied the knot with him twice before their romance ultimately ended in a second divorce in 1976.

The Cleopatra star died aged 79 in March 2011 from congestive heart failure.

If the project goes ahead, it will be Lindsay’s first acting role since she appeared in 2010 movie Machete.

The young star — who recently posed naked in Playboy — has seen her career take a back seat to her troubled personal life in recent years which has seen her have numerous court appearances, brief jail stints and undergo rehab treatment for alcohol and substance abuse.

Now Lindsay Lohan owes back taxes? Once again, girlfriend can’t seem to catch a break.

The government is coming after Lohan for nearly $94,000, according to tax-lien papers filed Thursday in L.A., after the actress allegedly failed to pay income tax in 2009.

Sources told TMZ that Lohan thought her accountants were handling that sort of thing, and intends to pay the bill immediately. Her Playboy paycheck ought to help out a bit, no? Good timing. The lien has been filed against her home in Encino, according to E! Online, which also reported that Lilo’s rep isn’t commenting on her personal finances.

Lindsay was definitely in full-tabloid mode in 2009, breaking up with Samantha Ronson, jetting around the world, showing up late for court and getting her probation extended. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but recall that right about tax-filing time in 2010 she was busy suing ETrade over “that milkaholic Lindsay” and no-showing for civil-suit depositions and it becomes clear how income taxes might not make the short list of things to do.

Having recently replaced her business team (or so TMZ sources said), she’s currently busy doing morgue duty regularly in an attempt to finally get through probation and on with life. She also stepped out at the Chateau Marmont on Wednesday night for a party hosted by the Weinstein Co., to celebrate award season.

My Note: I have already set my DVR recorder to watch this. I think from what I heard about Dr. Drew he will make Michael Lohan see how much of a negative impact he has on Lindsay’s life and if he wants her to stay on the right track that he needs to step aside. I also want to know if this jerk will say negative words towards/against Lindsay.

Lindsay Lohan turned down a number of lucrative offers to host New Year’s Eve celebrations in a bid to change her party-girl image.

The “Mean Girls” star, who is still on probation after being convicted of theft, is desperate to continue the progress she made so far with her judge so has opted to spend a quiet night at home with a few close friends on Dec. 31, TMZ reported Tuesday.

It means the star, who recently posed nude for the cover of Playboy, could be potentially missing out on a six-figure paycheck, the gossip site reported.

The 25 year old will spend New Year’s Eve at home, but may go out to dinner before midnight.
Lohan is still in the process of completing 480 hours of community service as part of her probation for stealing a necklace, as well as a 2007 DUI case.

Earlier in December the judge overseeing her case praised Lohan and encouraged her to continue her good progress.

She is due to appear in court Jan. 17 for a probation progress report.

Lindsay Lohan celebrated her sister’s birthday with “champagne” and fine food.

The actress’ little sister Aliana Lohan turned 18 today.

To honour Aliana’s official entry into adulthood, Lindsay hosted an intimate get-together with mother Dina, younger brothers Michael Jr and Cody, and friends at Beaumarchais restaurant in New York City Wednesday night.

Michael Jr was also celebrating his birthday and the group seemed to get along swimmingly.

“It’s clear Lindsay and Michael Jr are very close,” an eyewitness told Life & Style magazine. “They were talking a lot and Michael had his arm around her at one point. She seemed to be confiding in him.”

Partygoers ordered from a prix fixe menu that included truffle gnocchi and tuna tartare. Alcohol was flowing at the table.

“Lindsay ordered a bunch of glasses of champagne for the table and switched to drinking that,” the source explained.

Lindsay escaped for a cigarette break with her mom before dessert.

The star then snapped photographs with sister Aliana before asking the staff to prepare a cake and champagne sparklers for their table.

“The staff brought out cake and two brownie sundaes while everyone sang [Happy Birthday],” the witness went on. “Lindsay toasted with champagne.”

Although there has been controversy surrounding Aliana’s thin frame in recent months, witnesses assure that the model ate a hearty meal.

“[Aliana] had a lot of bread, a big salad and a bunch of her brownie sundae,” the source said.

Lindsay and Aliana’s father Michael Lohan was not in attendance.

Lindsay Lohan, who was scheduled to return from her hit-and-miss Hawaiian vacation today, missed her flight back to Los Angeles that would have had her back in town in time for a scheduled taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

But more importantly, Lohan’s due in court bright and early tomorrow. She doesn’t need a passport to get back to the mainland, so what can the problem be—and will it keep her from her date with Judge Stephanie Sautner?!

“Lindsay had a travel-related issue arise that took a few hours to sort out,” rep Steve Honig tells E! News. “It has been resolved and she will be back in Los Angeles in time for her court appearance.”

A source also tells us that Lohan, after missing a morning flight, is booked on an afternoon flight and hopes to be back tonight.

The community-servicing actress is due in court Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. for another checkup as to how she’s been handling the terms of her probation.

Sautner ordered her to complete at least 12 days of work at the L.A. County morgue by her hearing date—and Lohan’s done that, so we’re not expecting too much tap-dancing on the part of Playboy’s latest cover girl.

According to a report from Hollywood Life, a celebrity image expert doesn’t think it was a joke at all, and that one day soon fans will be reading about Cyrus getting caught with pot in her purse–or maybe even worse. The expert, Michael Sands, says the former Hannah Montana star is headed down a ‘dark, dangerous path.’

“Miley is fast becoming the Lindsay Lohan of her era,” Sands says.

He is also afraid that her recent ‘stoner’ comment is akin to an endorsement for smoking pot, and that parents of many of Miley Cyrus’s fans may not like that very much.

“Miley has an odd way of showing she is an adult. Many folks complained that her adult wardrobe change was over the top, but this takes the cake. She broadcast to the world she likes pot,” Sands says. “I think parents won’t let their kids buy Miley’s products because of this.”

Others, however, feel that because Miley has way more support–she has a strong family and a respectable boyfriend–that she likely won’t plummet to the depths where Lindsay Lohan has been. Still any kind of decline is bad, and many (most of all her family) would hate to even think of that as a possibility.

No, Miley Cyrus’s actions haven’t all indicated wise decisions, but she really doesn’t seem like she’s en route to the very bottom of the celebrity drug abyss. Lindsay Lohan is already there, desperately trying to claw her way back up to the sunlight.

Will Miley Cyrus become the next Lindsay Lohan?

Lindsay Lohan’s bad luck with rehab may have just gotten a little bit worse.

Notorious bad girl Courtney Love, 47, tells the latest issue of Details that she has taken it upon herself to help LiLo sober up.

“I’ve taken up Lohan because nobody else will,” the Hole singer revealed. “[She's] further down the line than I was, because there was no [gossip websites like] TMZ then.”

Love may think she’s Lohan’s mentor, however a rep for the actress says that’s far from the truth.

“Courtney is not, nor has she ever been, Lindsay’s sobriety coach. This story is completely untrue,” Lohan’s rep told the Daily News.

Love, who herself went through a 12-step program in order to kick her drug habit, said back in 2008 that her own sobriety coach, Orlando Bloom, worked wonders.

“We chant every day,” she said then of being sober since 2005. “The 12-step program demands that you have a spiritual practice that you do daily.

“I don’t mind talking about it because it has changed my entire life, changed everything – restructured my body, restructured my physicality. Truly I can, not all the time, but I can take joy at really sh—y situations.”

In terms of helping Lohan, 25, who has recently been in and out of rehab five times, Love thinks the best solution would be a scare tactic.

And the best way to scare the “Mean Girls” star straight, she reasoned, would be by using herself as an example.

“I went up to Lindsay’s room one time and there was a show on called ’101 Celebrity Oops’ and I am like every other one, you know – boobs out, legs everywhere, throwing s–t at Madonna, you know, whatever. I’m like ‘Lindsay, look! Drugs are bad!’”

Love told The Fix earlier this year that her drug addiction was a direct result of Kurt Cobain’s issues with fame.

“Before I met Kurt, I was more or less clean, but then Kurt earned his first million and decided to become a junkie, and I decided to become a junkie along with him,” she said in May. “That’s the co-dependent side of me.”
